Your Domain Name
When you use your domain name for your mailing list, nobody will see our domain name - mail-list.com. And when somebody sends a message to your list (for instance, to get on or off), the email will go to your mail server, since they are sending to your domain name.
Therefore, you will need to make some adjustments on your mail server. So that the mailing list email is forwarded to our machine for processing. This is known as mail forwarding or mail aliasing.
When our machine sends out any message for your list, it will use your domain name, instead of using mail-list.com. So that the instructions to get off your list will say yourlist-off@your-domain.com.
Note that when you post a message to your list, your email address will appear in the From line. And your address will appear in your subscribers email box as the Sender. Therefore, you only need this option if you want to see your domain name in the headers and footer of the message (where the instructions for getting on and off the list are).
We will send you an exact list of which addresses need to be forwarded when we set your list up. Sometimes this is an easy task and sometimes not, depending on your web hosting company If in doubt, start with mail-list.com, get things going, and then change it to your domain name later.

You may want to provide a place for visitors to your web page to subscribe or unsubscribe to your mailing list. Typically, your web hosting company provides this function (called a CGI), and you simply need to give them the exact address to send the email to.
If your web hosting company is not able to accomplish this for you, then you can use our optional CGI. We will send you a small section of HTML code. You will then cut and paste this HTML into one or more of your web pages.
This HTML code will create an input box and Submit button. Your visitors will type their email address into the input box, and click on the Submit button. Control will automatically and transparently transfer to our server, which creates an email message that is then sent to your list.
Our server then displays a follow-up web page that you specify. For instance, it could be your home page. An even better choice would be a special page that thanks them for subscribing to your list.
We have several variations of HTML for you to use. One variation provides a radio button which allow your visitors to indicate whether they want to subscribe or unsubscribe.
